I´m from Chile and about 1984 my father bought that "Infra Red" LP by Dave Pike Set and Volker K.. Still is one of my favorite records of all time. thanks for posting this!!!

I played piano with Dave back in the 90s (I think) in Vegas, when he lived here for a short time. Great vibist.

Dave is my favorite vibist. My favorite LP/CD is Bossa Nova Carnival. He's incredible. I like Tjader, and Milt also, but Mr. Pike is still #1 to me.

Cool to fianlly see soem Dave Pike up. We're cousins though he doesn't really know me (we may have met when i was a baby), but my Dad was his first cousin and had all the old records. It's neat to see that he still hums along as he plays!

Dave was great in the '60s playing w/Herbie Mann at the Village Gate, and he's great in this video. I wonder if he remembers breaking a date we had planned to go striped bass fishing?

I wonder too. He'll probably get to see your comment as it seems to be the only live footage of the great Mr Pike on YouTube. You must be familiar with his reading of 'Wild Is The Wind' from 'Pike's Peak'? Superb.
