Bernard Kerik - former New York City Police Commissioner, Secretary of Homeland Security nominee, and close personal friend of Rudy Giuliani - was formally indicted Friday on a slew of federal corruption charges. With the legal proceedings set to unfold concurrently with the presidential campaign, and with the issue seeming to penetrate the core of Giuliani's "judgment" and "national security" campaign theme, just how badly does Bernie hurt Rudy?

I don't dislike Kerik but if this scandal has the potential of destroying Guiliani's bid for presidency then I hope that it does. Guiliani would not be good for this country as it's leader. He's not a very nice person. Ask anybody in NYC who knows him when he was mayor and they will tell you the same.
...and soon... the media will begin to feed on the character of the candidates...the media will begin to break down and isolate the "front runners" for the convenience of swing voters... i also notice,,, no matter what R.G. does or has done.they don't call him "crazy"...
now democrats if you dont destroy gulliani with this then your idiots this is political gold if it was the other way round the GOP would absolutly jump on it. ps i love the way he says although gulliani was briefed on keriks mafia links he didn't know of the current crimes, like thats ok! i knew he was a rapist when i employed him as a teacher but i didn't know he was still raping people!
You don't think the Democrats actually care do you? Ron Paul and Kucinich are only allowed in the race to make it look like you have choices. The rest of them all work for the same people regardless of which party they are in. Either way the the people lose.
you are right there. But, I know the price of confidence. The 2004 election proved that no matter how divided republicans are, you get them fired up about an issue and there's hell to pay.
It does seem that the democrats have stronger potential candidates. But, nothing is assured. Now is the time to really try and win over the voters who are "undecided" (that is, neither strongly republican nor democrat voters). What they'll see in the coming weeks and months is really going to shape how this election is going to be.

This is too bad. I was really hoping the Republican Party was going to break itself in half over Rudy's nomination. Shucks and darn.
Back in 2004 the dem only have Kerry but now we have Obama.
While the con base are split because of Rudy.
