  • i dont really get the point of it...?

  • It's a toy. What is the point of any toy?

  • How have you attached the track to the board? Is it in a way that the track layout could be modified?

  • The track is actually just sitting loose on the top of the board and could slide around a little during agressive play. I would recommend using some kind of non-skid surface to keep the track in place, perhaps a thin rubber mat.

  • Thanks for the idea.

I used the top of a water bottle that I cut off where the bottle reaches full width leaving a dome shaped piece. You could really use anything that will stay still in the center of the box under the board, but a dome shape would be best. The board balances on this and the springs are actually pulling down on the chopsticks not supporing them.

  • What would be cool is to use one of the hill tracks turned upside down so that the train can go down the track and drop into a hole and collect at the bottom. I know my boy would like that.

Only thing I don't understand is how the springs hold it up. Seems like the springs wouldn't support the weight. Are the coils touching the bottom? Is the spring the only thing holding up the base?

    Thanks. Cool idea.

  • nice

  • i'd put a ball there to be more challenging :D

  • Indeed, that would essentially be the same thing. I just added the springs for feel when steering.

  • a presentation board/mat 1/4-3/8 thick with half a sphere in the center and double sided tape would work also?

I'm not thinking of makin one but just giving ideas
