Do you think this is normal for big cats? Is the crew normally this comfy? What have you seen on the ocean?

  • What I know about sailing is basically nothing, but this boat seems to be very smooth in the conditions that you guys are in. How many miles did you go in this? Really cool vid to me. I had no idea a sail boat had this much head room.

  • How much is one of these? She's a beauty!

  • Very cool! Thank you!

  • Great footage and very informative.

  • @carstenkjar What is the angle of heeling at 18 knots at 30 kts wind with your monohull?

  • If you "push" a cat this size a little bit, you won't have much less comfort and also log easy 300 nm plus per day. How ever, one should not compare monos with cats, these are 2 totally different concepts of sailingboats and each one has it's advantages and disadvantages. Fair winds Wave

  • Great Video I Liked it. It was very interesting, I never considered the acceleration factor as you pointed out. I am Looking at getting a 43ft Alloy Cat i want to fit it out myself and sail around Australia. Safe Sailing Mate Cheers

  • How is it up-wind?

  • I own a 78ft cruising mono, in those sort of conditions we rarely log less than 300nm a day, she will quite comfortably reach 18 knots, without throwing people around will still remaining easy to handle. Nor do you need to be "strapped in" if using the galley at those speeds.

  • Thanks. I really enjoyed this video along with your commentary. I've always had a thing for catamarans and this goes to enforce that attraction. Five stars.
