Soviet did not attack Afghanistan, afghanistan government want to get rid of rebel or terrorist scum so they took help from soviet union. Soviet are your allies and I'm a Indian muslim but support Soviet Union because they are against United States. Look what U.S did to Iraq and Afghanistan and now Libya bombing them.
