I was angry and frustrated by some peoples complete lack of understanding of the term irony. And I was pissed at some of the shit that had been thrown my way. So naturally....I just pass it on to you Youtube freaks:)

Look. no offence but as much as i enjoy being a non believer i also like to keep those who i know won't get p.o'd about what i do/don't believe in as mates so i'm more or less nuteral in this.

None taken. And I agree. 99% of the time, I try to steer clear of even touching the subject. But sometimes....just sometimes....it comes up. And my point is, no matter how you try to talk about it, people invariably almost always find a way to take offense, and call you arrogant or aggressive, etc.

Hey Van. Thanks so much. The truth is that I quit the job I had and got together with a friend to get his recording studio/post-production house up and running. I truly wish I could keep making videos right now,but I really have to focus to try and make this work. Hopefully I will be in the clear soon and back on YT.

No doubt. But What I'm trying to express is that even if you are a nice atheist, as soon as you challenge anyone in their beliefs no matter how gently, you will be called aggressive and close minded. Thats what I was trying to express. Just a little frustrated....thats all. Thanks for your comment.

We can use the excuse Theists use n say just cuz there r SOME fanatical Atheists doesn't mean ALL Atheists r that way! And, ironically, we'd be more honest cuz it's actually TRUE that Atheists ARE different. We don't share a religious ideology nor do we follow a rel. Doctrine. Regardless, I don't agree with any1 being mean or disrespectful cuz ur point gets lost that way. In my experience, the Theist usually swings 1st not to mention that the Doctrine they accept is offensive in and of itself!

As an atheist i agree Ditchkins (Terry Eagleton's comical phrase to describe the two) can be quite dogmatic and the way they go about things should be in a more accessible manner particularly to shake faith at its foundations.

Basically the movement says you sholdn't force yourself to RESPECT religion. We don't respect people who believe in Poseidon, we don't respect people who believe in the Lizard People Conspiracy, we don't respect people who believe Elvis is still alive.

So why respect any other beliefs that aren't based on evidence? That's the main message, I think.

Oh, and I think you forgot to mention Daniel Dennett. Be sure to mention him when talking of the 4 horsemen, he's possibly the brightest.

Funny he was going to give "a video on Biblical Archeology, but that takes a little research."...and he hasn't had much time lately, lol. I laughed and laughed at this. ...."basically" when you make an outrageous claim, the burden of proof is on you..And it is NOT the burden of the unbeliever to disprove your outrageous claim....That is why people are always asking you (djosephallen) for evidence....oops
