I can strongly recommend Lynda and John's new cds available through their 5pp website. What songs! What a beautiful voice Lynda has. That the group never became superstars is testament to the fact there is no justice in the world. They say another CD is out soon with more songs old and new so bring it on! One of my favourite Meeks / Radcliffe compositions is Butterflies & Songbirds. Anyone have a live version of that to post?

fivepenny piece were supremely evocative - their songs of life 'up north' were timeless and beautiful, and intricately crafted. what memories!

Lovely song. Thank you. I wish I could also find "Winter Sun", and a short song which began something like "When I walk through the woods, the birds begin their singing...."

I think it was released at the end of the 70's; if I'm correct, John Meeks and Colin Radcliffe co-wrote it.

I would dearly love to post more videos of Fivepenny Piece. I have been told that I may be getting the chance to upload some more video clips of this *excellent* group in the next month or so. Can say no more for now, but it should be good news for us 5pp fans.
