This was the THE CATCH not Montana to Clark or whatever his name was

I think it's funny how people watch this awesome play and then try to diminish how awesome it was. You try going out there and making that play, or just don't talk.

@Spongelukenb What your thinking of is intentional kicking the play didnt know he was kicking it to someone so it was fair

@isntanything12 Michigan was ranked #1 in BOTH polls at the end of the 1997 regular season. Nebraska only reached #1 in the coaches poll by jumping Michigan because 2 more coaches voted Nebraska #1 than Michigan as a farewell present to the retiring Nebraska coach. Nebraska only got a share of the championship because of pitty votes and because of sympathetic refs because they should have lost this game due to an illegal play. The reciever later even admitted to intentionally kicking the ball.

Actually dude, he did kick it. So I can't be a Husker fan because I know it's illegal, and we got away with it?

5 things you can do in Lincloln that you can't do in Columbia is see a national champion football trophy.

If ur a Mizzou fan here an u say that this is illegal kicking. U R AN IDIOT!!!!! U think he kicked it to Davison on purpose!!!!! That was a great. Why would the intended receiver kick the ball up on purpose with an undefeated season on the line. All u Mizzou and Michigan fans need to get over it!!!!! This happened about a decade ago!!!!!!! GOOOO BIIIIIIG REEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

@SeaWolv3 Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Nebraska and Michigan should've played each other in a bowl game that year. That would've solved the split champion dispute right then and there. Only 1 team managed 24 against Michigan but in 3 weeks Nebraska only gave up a touchdown. I'd say that's just as good as managing no more than 24 against UM. UM had a defense that was legendary? Did they have a kick-a** name like The Blackshirts? I think not Mr UM fan, I think not.

Nebraska blows out #3 Tennessee led by PEYTON MANNING while Michigan beats WSU (#9 or so? Can't remember) and RYAN LEAF by only 5 points.
I'm not sure if Michigan was better than Tennessee that year, but Nebraska-Michigan should've been played.
That said, Michigan was lucky they didn't have to play the Huskers and are lucky to even have a share of the title.
