@flitetest I use a stailess steel wire, used in fishing or Electric delimit protection. Not a nichrome wire, cosenichrome wire stretches.

@DJPaulgee1 I use a dull X-acto blade and then use a soldering tip I drilled a small hole in. I screw the X-acto blade to the soldering tip using the hole in the blade and the hole I drilled in my soldering tip. Works great and the blade stays a constant temperature.

Where did you get the hot blade from? Is it possible to make one of these from an old soldering iron? Would appreciate an answer or two. Thanks.

@DJPaulgee1 I got the hot blade at the craft store. And yes, you can use a soldering iron on the lowest setting.
