@AveryHayes When I first herd this years ago it blew me away and it still does. Truly one of the great musical pieces in metal.

@MetalstarX They did originally record this album with Barlow. Maybe they left his vocals on that part???

@pehmomarsu last time i saw them they played this song it was fucking awesome!! and it was with matt

@Devotheus Jon actually sounds a lot like Barlow in the lower/mid ranges, he just can't get as high as Matt can. Jon does lead vocals for Sons of Liberty, and if you listen to their stuff you'll find it quite believable it's him singing Longstreet's part here. He's also sang on a couple of other IE songs...Frankenstein and Stormrider to name 2.

@tpwtrainboy2010 Do they perform this in concert? I wouldn't mind but 30 minutes long song is kind of long to be performed live.

@jeffrielly You've seen Gettysburg with Jeff Daniels and Martin Sheen, right? Because, you know, it's pretty amazing.
I hear Matt Barlow in a part of this.

@cubby3o5 It's Jon Schaffer singing Longstreet's part ;)

@psychomurderguitaris I know Schaffer says that it's him but I don't believe it. The Longstreet part sounds just like Barlow. Plus if Schaffer can sing that well why doesn't he just become the full time singer for the band instead of bouncing around from singer to singer like they have?

@MetalstarX Yeah well... Schaffer's been singing some Iced Earth songs (he's the singer on A Gift or A Curse?) and he is the singer on Sons Of Liberty (check out Jeckyll Island and Our Dying Republic). Of course it's still possible that it's always Barlow singing, but I doubt it.
