@Karma287 Clear as the summer sky, thanks. So the 1.6 105 came later and replaced the 2.0 110, following the downsizing trend.

@alamos8 At the beginning in 2008 and early 2009 you only could buy 110 bhp and 140 bhp CR TDI. the 110 bhp is no long available and was replaced by 105 bhp 1,6 CR TDI. Hope it was helpful :)

I Didn't know there was a 2.0TDI with 110bhp in the Golf VI, already existing a 1.6TDI with 105bhp and also 250Nm... I don't understand the purpose, being a 2.0, is way better the 140bhp version, and if you don't need 'so much', the 1.6 is more fuel efficient.

That is quite slow. A ford focus 1600cc diesel turbo does it in 10s, so does a 1700cc astra with 100BHP! Even a Skoda Fabia is faster. I think you might have some problems with the engine, maybe your fuel pump is on the way out, the high presure one. It should be doing that in 10s. if you were conned in to buying "performance parts", take them off. Leave the air filter as standard, the car is faster as it has a huge surface area compared to a K&N and cleans the air, but doesn't restrict it.

@jajcyk Yes it's CR. it's an engine made for consumption not for "runnin" :) but it's enough for daily use.

@mosquiton001 Yes, it's exactly like you say...Many tuning companies do it handmade "by their own" ...Once I was interested in it but the too much expensive cost made me change my idea...I should leave my car from them days and spend something like 1500 Euro...

@Lerry80 removing the DPF usually (depends on cars) give you an extra 8/10 bhp and a better torque delivery especially in the high revs range

to remove DPF you need a DEFapped exhaust (you can buy one from various tuning companies)

the difference is in the mapping wich will have to be done deleting the FAP sensors analysis and regeneration cycles from the software

if you want even more power go with a 3.0 diesel engine and chiptune it (leave the s3 drink too much fuel for it's power IMHO)

@mosquiton001 Hi Mosquiton...I was planning to remove dpf too from my Bmw 120d...I had remapped it 1 year ago reaching 193cv (starting from 163cv)..This means around 30cv (dyno misured)...Now: to remove dpf it takes a lot of money and what are you going to reach? Much more than 30cv?? I don't think so....So I left the idea to remove it and started thinking to buy a 3.0 l or a turbocharged 2.0 l petrol engine....Maybe Audi S3....

@Cytoplasme All multiport fuel-injected petrol engines are common rail.

And there is no 2.0 petrol injected engine on the golf as far as i recall, at least in Romania there isn't. Out here there are only 1.6 MPI, 1.4 FSI, 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TSI 122 hp and 1.4 TSI 160 hp.
