  • The challenge with using the camcord USB as any other sort of USB is you need to select "Playback on PC" to make it open as an additional drive. If you select backup video it will not let you access it. The MOD files seem to play on my WMP just fine and when I need to, I will figure out how to convert them to mp4's our something ipad compatible.

  • I hook mine up via USB and drop and drag and retitle the files, they upload to YT as MOD files easy enough now, but when I got mine, they were still refining YouTube

  • @snakeproductions7723 I would say sony or cannon they are pretty good. If your looking for sports or want a wide angle lens all the time, Gopros are great and only 300 for their best model. I plan to get one when I can afford it, but I will be using it for sports since its waterproof and all that.

  • @MetallicBill Yeah I just figured that out. All you need is the cable. It is actually a whole lot faster than using the PCMI4Evrio software.

  • @jacksonguitarman My thoughts exactly. I am very disappointed with JVC. The quality isn't all that great either. I am looking for something with better quality but not super expensive. I would say around $300 - $500. Any suggestions. Thanks for the help.

  • @snakeproductions7723 I have been reading forms all over the internet all day for this same problem. It is not available online to download. JVC customer support will sell you a new CD for the camera for a hefty price of $40.... Plus the standard micro usb cable will not work with my camera, you have to buy the special cable for it. My next camera will definitely not be a JVC.

  • @atjejamune I have the same exact problem. Have you found a solution?

  • @terminator96744 No need, now I hope you realized this by now, It works like any USB attached drive, with the camcorder connected and turned on, drop and drag the files, they will ONLY be in one folder, leave the other folders, which tell the camera where to put things
