This should have had a game too, it fits everything a person needs in a game. School girls with swords and guns fighting giant robots, zombie Nazis, and dragons.

The movie has two further layers than hotbuttons and pandering.

One is the viewpoint. In one of the last sentences in the movie (SPOILER ALERT) the question is posed who is the guardian angel, whose point it is. And who is really the protagonist. Turns out not to be Babydoll, but the girl she helps escape.

Also, the point is made that the men in the movie with all their vice and stumping due to Babydoll's dance is a representation of us who watched the movie.

It is a movie of deeper meanings.

Both are vastly inferior to the original though. Primarily because both RCHP and Skunk Anansie are very commercial, whereas The Stooges weren't. Thus, the result of the original was simply raw power (no pun intended), without concern for pretty production, image, etc.

Thats part of the point, on one side its a movie of deeper menings, on the other its a cool nice looking crazy-fight-tarantino movie with heavy ties on games and anime.

I'd have to argue that her "weaker" voice (i.e. the cracking and squeeking) adds more to the 80's punk feel that the song is going for, while yes it would have been really good back when her voice was stronger I don't think I'd want this song to have turned out any differently as it fits the movie perfectly as is and it's a great rendition of the song on it's own, one I actually prefer a great deal over the original

It's a shame, if she'd recorded this about 15 years ago you'd probably have loved her voice. Sadly age has made it a littl eweaker and she's not quite as capable of the powerhouse vocals she used to be famous for.

Pretty cool. I just saw the red hot chili peppers covering this from way back and that was good too. Proving that its pretty hard to fuck this up.
