Using a pneumatic or electric impact gun is not a great idea. They tend to strip out the threads on the rivnuts. Using your arms to set the rivnuts is not too hard or time consuming.

The video simply demonstrates how to install rivnuts into sheetmetal. The sheetmetal used is not the sheetmetal you will install rivnuts into. The rivnuts are meant to be installed in preexisting holes in the body of the car so preinstallation is not possible...

can you install these using a impact. i mean not on full power but turned down? or will too much force ruin the rivnut?

The rivnuts get installed into the subframe of your car. the sheetmetal in the video is just for demonstration purposes

There is very much a learning curve with them. I tried using a torque wrench and it pulled the stud through the threads well before 30 ft/lbs. I ended up using a reg ratchet and of the 7 only one got noticeably harder. The rest were hard from the get go and then all of a sudden start to get loose.

I ended up running a tap through them to clean up the threads and everything seemed to work ok.

Very helpful video, I wish I had looked for it before the install... Thanks for including an extra rivnut as I stripped one when my torque wrench set screw came loose as I was installing.
