    None of this would be without Mother Love Bone and Andrew Wood, Chris Cornell was his old roomie and the godfather of Seattle scene Andrew Wood! Eddie Vedder only got his chance because of this tribute band to Andrew...The name temple of the Dog came from a song called "Man of Golden Words" and in the lyrics when cornell says Stargazer has no more tears, it refers to Andrews fiance. I only write this so that he is recognized and remembered...

    The first time I heard this song, actually, was in 1991 on the corner of Pine and 4th in Seattle. A puppeteer had a guitar-playing marionette puppet "singing" it and I was blown away. It might sound corny but it wasn't, it was astounding. That puppeteer obviously dug the hell out of Chris Cornell because his puppet was lip synching his heart out. I've never forgotten it, or this amazing song.
