I do hope that Greeks and Macedonians will work together because they have the same genes and the whole civilized world owes Greece so much and we are grateful for that. The Macedonians have grown up and they want nationhood, so there's nothing wrong with that. They must be happy that their children have grown up and can fend for themselves.

@pantomime1000 - Macedonians are Greek my friend and those still inhabiting the ancient area of Macedon are happy under a unified Greece. If any Greeks left the area of Macedonia in Greece to live with slavs & bulgars on Paeonian land then all the power to them as diasporic Greeks. You see, when you migrate the land you moved to & its people do not adopt the rights ur prior identity at the expense of those still living in the original. That is a fundamental law of the declaration of human rights

@rempetisa Since they are Greeks, be kind to them. The Greeks should be happy that another nation is born. The ancient Greeks never colonized, they founded. And left them alone as independent states, still Greeks but independent. That's why the ancient Greeks reached the pinnacle of civilization never achieved before. What yhou can tell your fellow Greeks is to treat the Macedonians as your allies, not as adversaries, because you all come from the same stock.

@pantomime1000 - lets not insult our intelligence by calling things other than by what they truthfully are shall we..... The few Greeks who unsuccessfully tried to cede the Macedonia of Greece into the communist block are the lesser in this equation. The bulgarians and serbs with an irredentist agenda towards the historical part of Greece named Macedonia are the greater. No Greek nation was founded on foreign soil, an identity was usurped from its rightful place to describe an unrelated people.

@pantomime1000 - as this is a blatant theft and violates the very core of MY human right to protect my millenia old history, identity and geography, that i can link to in every way, through continued historical record, the onus is on this new nation (that has no link to the identity of Macedonia and that Greece has supported with foreign aid and not only) to renounce its irredentist policies towards my land, my history and my identity and to cease its continued fabrication's against me.

We do NOT differentiate between Macedonians and Greeks.You can be a Greek and not be Macedonian..But you can never be a Macedonian without being a Greek..And i do not mean FYROM when i refer to Macedonia or to Macedonians..FYROM is a slavic state Not Macedonia....

@rempetisa Of course you know that the greatest mistake of Mussolini was to attack Greece without any provocation. That was the turning point of World War II. Hitler alone and Japan could have conquered the whole world as Alexander the Great of Macedonia (proud to be Greek) had done. So energy was wasted for nothing. Do not waste your time fighting over nothing. Be proud that a new nation has sprung from the loins of Greece, your motherlan.
