you really get 60 frames?

i have an geforce gtx 570 and plan buying a fx 6200.

currently i have a unlocked athlon 2 x4 @ 3,6 GHz ( no l3 cache) and maxed out in 1080 i often have massive framedrops up to 22fps. all test regarding the bulldozer state that i wouldnt benefit at all by changing the cpu...im so freaking confused! what do you think?

@Satadrian - first thing whay the hell u r comparing athlon with FX ? athlon is 4 year old technology and FX just few months old. even if you overclock ur athlon to 5ghz it would not stop bottlenecking Gtx 570, for Gtx 570 you ll atleast need FX-6100 or FX-8120 to run without bottlenecking even on sli.

Evga 560 ti sli

8 gb hyper X RAM 1600 mhz

Gigabyte 990 (or something, dont remember :L)

Why the hell do i get giant drops in my FPS, like, i'll be ok most f the time, then i turn around and BOOM, lag spike.

And dont even ask me about what happens when i enter the cistern in the flaggon, i get down to 20 something frames :(

@slatibardfast - ya the default game is a bullshit, you need to configure ur gpu settings and game settings, for this google for nvidia skyrim tweak guide, that helped me.

@xsaver23 some am3 boards may be compatible with bulldozer cpus after an bios flash. just google it ;)

@MrThebabadoom well thats the same thing i thought. but after reading a lot of reviews i am not that sure anymore, since most of them stated that there would be nearly no benefits in gaming when changing the cpu. most people recommend the 2500k . but in my opinion changing would be a lot more trouble since i would have to sell my am3+ board and change ist for ansocket 1155 one. im just afraid of making a bad decision and even if you say there is no point, well, im still worried...

I just bought a desktop with a amd fx-6100. I was skeptical about it, but it seems like it's going to be a damn good processor. It's not an i5, but it's pretty darn close and you save a few bucks too. It came with a GTX 560 video card too for $780. I thought it was a pretty good bargain. I'll see how it performs.
