  • Sandy Denny has been dead for many years now, so her music is vanishing out of memory, but she was once one of the main members of the British folk band, Fairportconvention. A very talented artist taken far too early.

Glad you like the song dullsville.

  • Thanks to the Internet and Youtube and people like you, Wickedwoe, she won't be forgotten! Thank you so much for this most beautiful of songs...it's one of the best ever.

  • Excellent, excellent song. This was a type of music she didn't normally record ("Wagnerian cum Vaughn-Williams orchestration" as another poster noted. True, most of her music was straight folk, but it would have been interesting to see her do more music of this type. I could see her growing into this genre in her older years. Could you imagine seeing this performed with a full orchestra in a concert hall? Simply amazing.

  • thank you very much for this add. One of my favourite songs from Sandy. I've loved her since the 70s.

  • This track came from her last album before she died. Though it was quite uneven, it produced this gem. She was simply one of the greatest female vocalists to ever come out of Britain. Her influence will live on as many young female singer/songwriters point her out even though it's been 32 years since she passed

  • Thanx for this video

  • I thought she died after an accident, I read she fell from the steps in her house. This track is from her latest album, chillingly beautiful and dark as if it reflects a musical presentiment of her early death.

  • I wasn't aware of this one either - Sandy had a wonderful voice - it is tradegy that her self destructive streak did exactly that.

Great song - I'm not sure the sub Wagnerian cum Vaughn-Williams orchestration helps.

  • Very nice, don't think I ever heard that one.
