Young London Intro - Angels and Airwaves AVA by Chris Morici

Using hammering/pulling and picking the tab should be exactly like this:

First time -
e: 0-12-0-10-0-9-0-7-0-9-0-7-0-5-0-4-0-5-0-7-0-5-0-9-0-7-0-9-0-7

2nd time-
e: 0-12-0-10-0-9-0-7-0-9-0-7-0-5-0-4-0-5-0-7-0-5-0-9-0-5-0-4-0-5

It might sound even better when it is completely hammered/pulled instead of
being picked(has that AC/DC Thunderstruck sound)

  • Why so serious?

  • @Musingsontap I must defend my family honor, I cannot fail!

  • when i just hammer on and pull off the sound fades away. how do I NOT do that?

  • @1casper234 When you pull off you have to pull off real hard and make sure not to mute the note when you pull off - you'll mute it if you touch it with any part of your finger or hand

  • how much time did it take you to learn this riff?great cover anyway

  • @Tangibleapparition It took about a day to get it down to that level, i can play it much better now though. The majority of time was spent listening carefully to the notes to get it 100% right - the other cover videos on youtube at the time were incorrect

  • i can play this full speed but i miss all of the open string notes :(

  • @1casper234 Make sure that you're actually pulling off when you change note and not simply hammering and switching. If you do not, the sound will soon fade and effectively cut off. Just keep practicing pull-offs and it will eventually just feel natural and come easy to you.

  • Check out my cover I got the intro as perfect as can be. The video is called angels and airwaves young London full band cover

  • @MrMiltonius I picked it and pulled off (not picking the open note) !

  • when you pick it, do you also pick the open notes or do you pick and pull of?
