Coming along Shepherds Bush Road in London when a minibus from the Hammersmith & Fulham Community Transport Project cuts in on me, nearly making contact and forcing me to stop. Registration W453 UGY.

Update: The company emailed me back to say they will be bringing the matter up with the driver and that they take this sort of thing very seriously. They also plan to incorporate the video into their training programme, so a positive result, I think.

  • @gaz545 Contrast 60, Exposure 2, Sharpness 3, Metering Average... But I'm gonna drop contrast to 50 for tomorrow as there were a few things too bright for my liking. Main thing annoying me is position. It's a bit tilted and skewed left. Not 100% sure the lasers are correct.

  • Was the light red? I see the little VW is braking as he races up the inside. Pretty dodgy stuff.

  • @Kurako76 Truthfully I can't remember but looking at the video again it does look like the light is red, doesn't it.

  • @Th3Rabb1t Don't be pedaling in front of me then. You'll be mince meat.

  • @krazykizza You best be trolling. As a cyclist he has the same rights as any other road user, meaning he has has no obligation to slow for the merging vehicle as other road users are not supposed to take actions impede traffic or that cause another road user to brake or change direction

  • That's not shepherd's bush road. it's by brook green

  • He did that to go into the bus lane, as he was driving a BUS. You however, cyclist, must yield and slow for the merging vehicle in which the lane was intended for.

  • Why is the line so zigzaggy?

  • It looks like he did that deliberately! Wow, he must REALLY not like cyclist. Mean guy.

  • probably didn't expect you to be coming through such a tight gap next to the grey car

  • Sorry downfader but minibuses are classed as public service vehicles and ARE allowed to use bus lanes all bus lanes at any time. The only exception is if they are not local to the area and are marked 'Local' with the signage. Can't condone the actions of the minibus driver though.

  • @MrC - I whacked this in HD and its clear they did run a red to me. Pedestrian was clever enough to realise by the looks of it and waited for the beeps.

And no minibuses aint usually allowed in buslanes unless they have a taxi permit. Might be one to check out fully?

  • Are community transport mini buses allowed in bus lanes ?

So many errors from one driver in one move !
