Ruffian has but she was alive along time ago and didn't win the triple crown because her and another horse raced to see who was beter and she broke her ankle they had to put her to sleep it's sad

All horses race on different tracks/surfaces and faced different competitors so its unfair to say one horse is better than another. You may have your own opinion and such but in your comment you have represented your country with ignorance and arrogance. BTW there are very few important races outside US there is a reason horses come to US and not leave it. There are a few exceptions but keep your nasty comments to yourself.

@MrItaliano1900 Well, I don't know much about the actual individual race horses in foreign countries outside the US (besides the ones that compete in the BC), but as a whole the US technically has the most important races. You don't hear much about US horses going over seas for a reason. You don't hear of US horses going overseas for big races, but what about the BC? The horses outside US come to the US. And that is where they race the best America has to the best the rest of the world has.

The ignorance and arrogance U.S. is famous. If a horse wins in the U.S.A is automatically become the best in the world, as if outside the USA there was an expanse of lifeless desert. Out your Truman Show ,in the real world everyone knows : the best trotter ever is the italian VARENNE the best horse galloping is the Italian RIBOT the best jockey ever is the italian FRANKIE DETTORI ! Movies are nice, but in reality this horeses has never participated in only one important race outside the USA !

@bakingbaker The time was incorrect my good man. The clock malfunction in that race so the offical time keeper clocked Secretariat in 1:54 2/5. Thats the offical time they gave Secretariat. But his time was incorrect. He said himself he messed up. Canonero had the record of 1:54 flat. DRF clocked Secretariat in 1:53 2/5 and proved it by playing a frame by frame of his race against Canonero race. Big Red go there first. So we know he did run it faster than 1:54 flat. Watch that Video.

@rscarbro100 I'm confused by what you mean by "not officially." My argument was that Tank's Prospect, Louis Quatorze, and Curlin have the fastest times, and nothing to do with Canonero.

@bakingbaker Not offically my good man but you know as well as I do about the broken clock. DRF posted 1:53 2/5 beside his offical time He was clocked by 3 DRF professional clockers.Ran a frame by frame of his race with Canonero II & Big Red got there first. The frame by frame video is on youtube.

Secretariat is the greatest race horse of all time! I mean no horses to this day has ever come close to beating the lengths between him and the horse behind him. He is definetly my fave race horse. If he weren't the greatest why did they make a movie about him and no other triple crown winner?
