  • pure magic, looked at your active blade hubs videos, super work, you put quality time into you tasks, very impressive, wish you lived next door to me, we could have a ball or a KW or 2

andy wind west coast of Scotland

  • @TheWindMillMan Hey Andy. The 2 KW is in the planning here. I am now making a pitch-controlled propeller driven by a homemade actuator .The actuator is made of a 7,2 volt battery-screwdriver with threaded rod and a travelling nut .It is a prototype partly carried out of hardwood to find the right sizes and measurments . Later I make it with aluminum. Rotor diam is 2,70 meters . Just to try . Would be nice to scale it up to 4 meters.

I see you have a good average windspeed . Seeyou Frans

  • @midwoud1 superb, now that sound the bizz, though the actuator would need to be fitted in front of the blades but I must admit i like the gliders simplicity over the helicopters nuts and bolts less to go wrong.

but I am pessimistic with mother nature she always wins over me

but if you are a precession orientated it could be very efficient as a whole machine

    regards andy
