@brianallancobb Taste is subjective......but I think yours is pure gold, Would like to be first in-line to read the finished work, in my vernacular, sounds fucki'n awesome!

Niagara's a great movie, although it breaks my heart to see how pristine it was back then, and know the Canadian side is now like Las Vegas on the Falls.

Cain, Hammett, Jim Thompson, Chandler, Richard Stark...I read everything I can find by those guys.
Even Cornell Woolrich, although he's kind of flowery.
Don't know if I have good taste, but I know what I like.
I've been working for seven years on a work of crime fiction, myself. "Mussolini's Still Dead", set in Sicily, Rome, Zurich, and London.
Sometimes I wish I'd never started. Trying to complete it is a real monkey on my back.

@brianallancobb Good grief, I forgot that one, excellent! The book was good too, love James M Cains novels. I think you must have some damn good taste!

That's one I've yet to see, but Miss Stanwyck in Double Indemnity is to die for. (And Fred MacMurray was an inspired bit of counter-intuitive casting.)

@brianallancobb Excellent! How about Barbara Stanwyck in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers?
-
Ava Gardner in The Killers (1946).
-
@brianallancobb Ruth Roman was good in these pictures too.

@gqjohnny Manson?
Thelma Ritter gives a superb performance in this movie. She was indeed an excellent actress.

@gqjohnny Along with Gloria Graham, Jean Peters defines the noir babe role.
