Nice video dave! I've had really good luck with just coins, water and powdered chlorox bleach. The coins themselves act as the pea gravel, well not as good but good enough and you don't have to strain them.
I'm always interested in making finds look more presentable. I recently got hip to using toothpaste to clean silver coins. I put some on the coin and rub it between my thumb and finger. Does a nice job. I'm interested in how to clean Indians and Wheats. I've been cleaning them in the tumbler and they come out looking way too shiny. Completely ruins the patina. Lately I've been using the peroxide/microwave method. It works good on some pennies..not so good on real bad ones. Great vid!
Thanks for your imput Dan....My Next 3 videos on Coin Cleaning will be #1 Cleaning Silver coins...Its the easiest cleaning coin, but also (Have to be careful) It's the easiest to scratch, #2 second easiest would be Nickles....Found in the Ground Nickles.. I would not clean a rare nickle this way...but 95% of nickles can be showcased after a simple cleaning...#3 Copper coins are tougher to clean ....so it is #3...............#4 GOLD ?......I would NEVER do ANYTHING to a Gold coin but rinseLOL
