Here is the World's Greatest Entertainer, Al Jolson singing I'm in Seventh Heaven composed by Jolson, DeSylva, Brown and Henderson from the Motion Picture "Say it with Music" From 1929. The Record is an Original 10" Black and Gold Label Brunswick 78rpm and it is being played on an early two door Victor Orthophonic Credenza Victrola from 1925. The Victor Credenza was the Flag Ship of Victors new Orthophonic line of Victrolas introduced on "Victor Day" in late 1925. Two of the new features of this Victrola were a large exponential folded horn and a brass Reproducer, designed to enhance and play the new electrically recorded records that had made their debut earlier that year.

  • You have a very nice Orthophonic unit. I love my VV210, and play my Jolson records on it all the time.

  • Thank you Speedy. Yes, your Jolson records will play just fine on your Victor VV-210. That unit as I am sure you know was the first flat top Console model offered by Victor beginning in 1922. Thanks for watching.
