@barbaro267 Yes, he is really highly gifted. This change of mimical expression, this limb, this lisple, this crippled hands, this crooked smile - amazing. He is absolutely in it. Total immersion, so to speak.

Just imagine the balls it took for that kid to stand up and blast that stuffy professor at the Royal Society! It staggers me to think of it. Ben Cumberbatch is one talented young man.

@barbaro267 I know what you mean. I saw the original airing of this, and have subsequently watched it many times. When I do, he IS Hawking. Both sad and beautiful, and both represented equally in a tear or two.

For some reason it always makes me smile to see that peace button on his jacket lapel. :)
first the physical hardships of muscle control deterioration, then the speech difficulties...I love how Benedict makes it so believable!
