Christie Engineering are a Sydney based family owned and run OEM that manufacture a range of engine powered equipment including soil tesing machines, auger rigs and battery chargers and post hammers. This video is a clients machie being tested before delivery. It is a 1.8M chain feed mast driven by a Honda GX690 motor, 1200Nm head with 1 1/8 hex output for 100mm augers. Pull out is around 3000kg with adjustable down feed. The machine is designed for soil and geotech testing in any soil types and soft rock. Hi, we normally do add a third leg to the front centre but this customer optioned not to save weight and money. The trailers used are all very heavy duty. This rig has done many thousands of holes for mineral exploration now and still going well.

If you drill this way you will brake connection to car towbar. Better add hidraulic legs to front side of your drill :)
