  • Pretty cool! Does she use those moves in battle? Or are they just for a performance, show?

  • i don't think life in China is that hard to use it in real battles, while some wushu specialists can find a job of a safeguard, very often they employ women as well...

    But I don't know particularly about this woman Li Xia

  • @MirandaEFernando this style uses the long tassel as a weapon, so it is not only dancing, although some postures are not for "fighting". The form is for practicing body skill and the technique of sword and the long tassel.

  • wushu is based on traditional chinese kung fu so yes. you could i guess use the moves in fighting. Although some of the moves may have lost martial integrity/usefulness because they were made to look beautiful for wushu, many other moves are still moves that could be used in battle.
