Think of a stick, balanced upright on the ground. It's either balanced or not at all. There's literally 1 micron in degrees that puts it off balance, naked to the human eye. By practicing the forms slowly (at the start), you learn every microposition the body can move in. Where once you thought of a punch from the waist to the end of the extended fist, you now think in terms of micro-movement, now able to feel that micron of unbalance and manipulate it.

It's not a matter of magic. Yes, he does have fajin developed over many years of standing, condensing the chi to the bones, and mastering internal energy. While the guys being thrown may not be doing their best to ground Master Ma's energy, I can tell you that I have experienced this same faji energy from several high-level Chinese masters and it is definitely real. I felt like I was electrocuted and thrown literally twenty feet. Once you experience it for yourself, you will be a true believer.

@dabossTJ his left hands on the other's right shoulder.

How the hell can philosophy change a natural universal law?? I get it, he has advance ET tech. Oh, fail, my bad, he's in cloth. Well.. how about an invisible entity working on his "tai chi chuan"??? Still don't get it? See other facts about this, learn basic phicics, research and learn the truth about the supernatural.. there should seemingly be some letter from God to us humans telling several things that truely shed light to this strange phenomena. GL doin that!

The answer is simple my friends yet all of you are soo blinded by this pseudosciences trying to justifiy supernatural.. Laws of phisics in this universe state action and counter action.. projecting someone meters away generates an equal counterforce. SO... kicking a ball hard will generate a counterforce that i feel as hurting my foot a bit, hitting a brick wall will generate the same force that will make me ache terribly or break my bone, and firing a cannon will cause it to bounce backwards...

@yoda93100 No he has jing which is chi compressed in the bones and various energy centers.

@Lonesomesundown basic resonance in many fields of physics. As you said, there's no magic or trickery going on here.
I'd comment on the skill of the guy falling all over the place. it may be that he's not trying too hard to absorb and redirect the energies that are causing him to flail and fall. I think he's deliberately avoiding a broader and looser stance in order to emphasize the effects of the master's movements on a stiff or unyielding opponent.

Wow!
Neither faking nor telekinesis. Action at 2:00 Ma set up oscillations that upset balance. Search for: Manipulation of forward estimation of movement state, by Grant Mulliken. Opponents apply force and Ma leads them into emptiness. 2) Use deep fascia instead of muscle. Standing meditation (stress) converts fibroblasts to myofibroblasts used in the subtle, rapid, muscle-like expansion/ contraction we call chi. His art is the result of years of philosophical research and training. Not magic!

what i don't understand is at 2:00 he doesn't use any part of his body to throw the man off balance
