  • Baarak Allahu feekum and may Allah preserve our Sheikh. Hearing the speech of the scholars supported by the texts, the Quran and the Sunnah makes my heart feel at ease when considering the possibilities of polygyny. May Allah protect us from thinking as the disbelievers think that ta3adud is hated and shameful but being 'partnered' and living together as in 'defacto' (fornication) relationships are so easily accepted!! Allahul musta'aan.

  • The other thing is that a lot of Muslim brothers need to be educated on how to treat their wife, and vice versa. Like you have these brothers who are "super" Muslims in public or at the Masjid, but when they get home, they oppress their family, verbally, physically, emotionally, and mental.

May Allah guide us all. And give us not what we ask for, but what is best for us.

  • The way I see it, is Allah has forbidden us to commit oppression to one another, so if a man marries a second wife only to fulfill his "lust" and desire, and not doing it out of necessity, while the first wife is forced to accept it, is that not an act of oppression? And I find it very, very, hard to imagine a man being able to handle two wives justly in this time and era, especially how the days of ignorance are upon us once again...

  • @cherish933 yeah me to

  • @MsIngushka1 i know ukthi , seriously i would stipulate this in my marriage contract.

  • @cherish933 I was wondering the same thing. and marry a another woman without telling your wife sounds haram to me.

  • this may sound stupid , but if he were to marry another women can the first wife ask for a divorce ? ( as some women find it hard to have sabr for such circumstances)

  • JazzakAllahu Khair for posting this! May Allah guide our brothers, and open the hearts of the sisters, and to protect us from "modern" ideals and "western" (so called) morals and family values. All the values and guidance we need we have in Islam, but many refuse it by blindly falling into the trap of culture and "modernism".
