  • @TachyonDriver There is nowhere saying that you cannot start your flight training in a 206, the reason why many start in 22/44's is because there are very cheap to operate, so if you had a huge bank account you can get your flight training in a 206

  • thank you for the reply. One day, maybe, with enough cash i can try and obtain a PPL (H) then progress to turbines. A pity one cannot learn on a 206 straight away these days (seems to be Robinson R22/44). The Jet Ranger is such a great heli for its size/cost.

  • @TachyonDriver I fly the 206bIII and yes before you take it up to 70% N1 and it has been sitting longer than 15 mins since you shutdown per the flight manual there is a 1 min warmup

  • I've watched numerous Jet Ranger video on the tube, but none of the others appear to have the 1 minute cooldown procedure before takeoff. Is that because they don't care about the machine? Or is it a procedure that does not have to be carried out on every takeoff? I only fly RC helis so am not familiar with full size turbine powered machines :)

  • "....a friend with a Jet Ranger" Hell... i'd be happy if half my friends had Cars!

  • great vid!
