--== Song Description ==--
Ouran High School Host Club was, officially, the 5th anime obsession I got into. One of the reasons why is most definitely Shissou, the anime's energetic ending theme for the entire run of the series. I became a huge fan of Last Alliance from watching this anime, and I've listened to this song so many times I've lost count. Though the song sure hasn't gained as much popularity as other anime ED's out there, I'm sure many Ouran High fans can testify to the same.
--== Chart Development ==--
Initially, I had a hard time charting in the notes by ear because there was no karaoke available (DO WANT) and I couldn't find any tabs anywhere on the wide wide internet (I wonder if something that doesn't exist on the net is subject to Rule 34) The accuracy is, for the most part, as close as I can get it to go without adding artificial chords, but it was all done by ear.
--== About Development ==--
This is my third and by far my favorite GH3 custom; I consider it to be the flagship of my lineup. I finished the initial build a while after my trip to Mammoth, and later on it would be the first song that I would apply my version 1 release standard to. The need to develop the version 1 release standard was invoked by this particular song, primarily because there were no reliable sources for me to reference while charting; as such, it was difficult to make out the notes in the song. By isolating the guitars from the rest of the music, it made the whole thing one step closer to professional since it was the best option aside from obtaining the actual masters, and it made it easier to chart since I could now make out the guitars from the vocals and other instruments.
As I was charting the second revision with the version 1 release standard, an idea came to me. While the released album recording of the song opens up quite abruptly with no precedence, I distinctly remembered there being two opening sequences to the song preceding the start of the ED for almost every episode of Ouran High. I was determined to edit one of them into the beginning of the song for the purposes of this chart. I watched the last few seconds of each episode of the anime to listen for which episodes would provide the best samples. I ended up using the more serious of the two openings, and I took samples from episodes 5, 20, and 24. Each sample had a little bit of dialogue, but they were all at different times, so I just took bits and pieces from each sample that DIDN'T have the characters talking over it, and Frankenstein'd them together to add a nice extra eight measures of guitar with which to open up the song with. It's a little flawed, but it adds a nice bit of flavor to the opening of the song, and I think it does the job well.
I developed my version 1 release standard while on a cruise to Mexico; on that same cruise, this would be the first song to receive its treatment.
--== Difficulty ==--
I'd say it's a challenging song. It's fast paced, has a lot of variety, and is a lot of fun to play. It's not obscenely difficult, but it'll keep you on your toes. I personally play this song on Hyperspeed x 2 just to help it convey that awesome sense of energy and speed.

Version 1.1
- Shortened several sustains to end at least one eighth-note before the next note occurs, most notably in the second verse.
- Reworked Star Power significantly. Designed such that the player has the opportunity to activate and end Star Power at very specific times (mainly choruses and solos) in order to add impact to the song.

@TehPieLuver I used a filter (Stereo Channel Extractor) in a professional audio program (Adobe Audition 3) to separate the center channel from the stereo channels, then separated the audio into two files. The result isn't perfect (the sound is a bit muddled) but it's a lot better than nothing.
