you guys are underestimating the deductions she gets on her leaps they are much more severe. the judges could also take off for her impreciee tuck and pike shapes in the acrobatic elements

I agree that the judging at the 2008 Olympics gymmastics competition sucked.... Not saying this is the first or worst time, but it was definitely skewed. Moreover, even if Shawn Johnson's splits were not at 100%, I don't think that the difference between full split and not should be .3 difference. In the end, though, I'm proud that the USA got second in Beijing despite the fact that 3 of the 6 best US gymnasts at that time were injured (Shayla Worley, Samantha Peszek and Chellsie Memmel) an

I really feel like the judges at the Beijing were really really overly harsh to her. I always felt like had she competed in Athens she would've got Gold in AA for sure....but I don't know; it's just a feeling is all.
