LaRouche: No Middle East Peace Possible Until Anglo-Saudi Hand Behind Terror Is Exposed

December 23, 2008 (LPAC)--Lyndon LaRouche declared today that one of the primary reasons that a genuine peace in the Middle East has been prevented for the last half-century is that no one is willing to take on the Anglo-Saudi factor. "The filthy Anglo-Saudi alliance is the number one factor fostering the constant aggravation of the Arab-Israeli relations,'' LaRouche explained. "Just start with international terrorism. I defy you to present a single example of international terrorism today, that is not financed through the combination of Britain's Dope, Inc. and Saudi banks and so-called charities.''

LaRouche cited the Nov. 26-29, 2008 assault on the Indian port city and financial center of Mumbai as a perfect example of how this Anglo-Saudi apparatus bankrolled and steered the attack. "Between the Saudi funds, laundered through Dubai, and the heroin money coming out of Afghanistan, we can account for just about every penny that was spent on the Mumbai attack,'' he declared.

"Unfortunately,'' LaRouche continued, "this Saudi money seems to buy off a lot of Arab souls. The price of failure to take on this Anglo-Saudi factor in global terrorism today is seen in the miserable situation we face in Southwest Asia.'' LaRouche added that, in addition to publicly tackling the Anglo-Saudi support for global terrorism, the other action that can and must shift the dynamic in the Southwest Asia region is a fullscale U.S. support for an immediate Israel-Syria peace agreement. Today, outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, meeting in Ankara, Turkey with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogen, declared that a peace deal between Syria and Israel can be quickly achieved, and should be a top priority. Syrian President Bashar Assad today also said he is prepared to begin direct talks with Israel; and Lebanese Christian leader Gen. Michel Aoun declared that, if Syria and Israel begin direct talks, Lebanon should join in those peace talks, as well.

"The Israel-Syria agreement is the route to pursue,'' LaRouche declared. ``Such a peace deal would immediately open other doors, and would greatly facilitate a just two-state agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. These two objectives can be achieved right away,'' LaRouche concluded.

"Publicly nail the Anglo-Saudi collusion, to foster international terrorism and other divide-and-conquer strategies, and move aggressively to secure an Israel-Syria peace accord. Any other approach is a diversion from the only actions that can genuinely work.''
