@texasprepper007 If the breakers are good check if the generator gead brushes (if any) are worn. If it still does not work with new brushes the generator head needs flashing.

It is normal for the output potential of one of these to be around 130V when unloaded. What you should do is adjust it so that the output frequency is around 60cy/sec.

@texasprepper007 I agree check the breakers, if thats not it then it may need the capacitors recharged. Thats pretty easy to do. Videos on that around youtube. But if its under warranty just take it to a shop. If you are close to the El Paso area I would be happy to do some troubleshooting on it with you.

@bglax55 It depends. If you used STBIL or some other gas treatment then no. If you didn't you could try adding dry gas to it. I would say 2 year old gas is probably boarder line bad.
You the man, I am getting my father n laws toys that will not run. I hv a coleman generator, briggs and stranton cultivator, and heck other great dang near new. And he fails to run or drain the fuel during winter. All carb jobs. Now he has a honda generator that he paid over 2 grand that will not start.. The old man just buys new ones. Must be nice.

Great video! We bought our generator when Hurricane Ike came through Texas. We have taken good care of and recently cranked it up and ran it for a while. Works goo BUT is not producing any electricity. It is a Generac GP5000. What do think could be the problem? Any help is greatly appriciated!

@texasprepper007 I would check the breakers. Check to see if either leg of the 220 outlet is producing 110 volts. If both are dead, the main breaker may be bad or need reset.
