@kookiemoose My B.I.L. was given 3 panels and I seen how easy it was to hook up without batteries. He told me they weren't that hard or expensive to make. So he gave me one and I tried making that one. I'm gonna try making a bigger one now!!☺

Pretty steady hand there, maybe you should've been a surgeon.
What got you to get into making a solar panel? Pretty cool stuff. I've been thinking about messing around with this sort of stuff for a while. . A friend of mine does it for a living, and I've been meaning to pick his brain about it.

@pof1991 Thanks Martin!! Your exactly right, top of one cell to the bottom of the next one. You are just connecting them in series similar to hooking up batteries each additional cell is another .5 volt!!☺

Where did you get the backing, and how is the panel holding up? I understand silicone has acids that slowly corrode metal, so I am curious how it is doing.

@spikey911usa The backing is called FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) you can get it at home depot or lowes. 4x8 sheet for $25. That panel is only 9 months old and doesn't have any corrosion yet!!☺
