Good points!, I just dont want AMD to keep on going downhill. Now that Phenom II is nearly ready, I want to see AMD get back into the game and bring us some competition, which will bring CPU prices down by a huge margin!. - and to be honest, I think that 2009 might just be the year of the consumer!.

um let see with amd k10.5 oh yeah it's beating intels 6 core chip. so if intel get better good for me I own stock in both and have a c2q and a k8 system not to happy about my phenom tho.

I see his point, But I think that its a little low to do this, if they didn't say anything, then obviously the Intel customers would be very dissapointed and they would get very bad reviews for that bad product!, So in the end, If AMD had shutup then obviously Intel would look bad while AMD could be smiling, But now they have just made themselves look arragant and jealous.

AMDphenom9600, Intel has paid and even threatened other companies to not do business with AMD. How low is that? Read up on the Antitrust suit. Intel's stalling for time because they know they are guilty.

I think this is actually going to help AMD. First of all most consumer only buy what they hear about, hence the success of Intel in the previous years. AMDs advertising budget is nothing compared to its competition. So this is at least a cost effective way for the public to hear what the professionals at AMD have to say.
