@nanhuazhenren are you mad? If you practice Shaolin then you should understand that any form is to be made your self. However, If you were to perform this form in about 6 minutes you would practically be doing Tai ji quan.

This is not Shaolin, just a normal kung fu routine that looks like Shaolin
-
Still:Old monks clearly depict that 100 years ago, they had to practice Shaolin Kungfu forms(which you claim to be designed differently)in an extremely slow speed, slower than most Taijiquan even.
Btw, I´m currently making the discovery that this method has greater results than i would ever have imagined, that´s why I wanted to share my experience.

It sounded a bit offending or as you put it "patronizing" but i already had a small discussion with him per mail, but whatever...
The reason I put this here was that many people would read my suggestion, it was not necessarily meant for the person that posted the video.

When you learn "traditional gong fu" forms and taiji forms, then you will understand how the forms are designed differently.
It really did appear that you were criticizing his speed, I'll explain why. This man has many videos on youtube, all of advanced level forms and they are done well. To suggest to a man of his obvious experience that he can do forms slowly is very patronizing. He already knows this, he obviously already has a master to teach him.
: )

What do you mean by "designed for"?
Forms are not designed to be done in ana speed, you CAN however do them in a certain speed.
Then again I never criticised his speed and it´s obvious that a demonstration in his speed makes sense, I was only talking training methods.

Taiji is also a martial art, yes you are right.
This form however is not a taiji form. ; )
This form is not designed to be done slowly as the taiji forms are.
Can you do it slowly and have it benefit you? Yes, most certainly.
Should you do it slowly everytime, and when demonstrating it on youtude? Obviously not.
:)

Taijiquan is also Wushu.
Old Shaolin masters practiced extremely slowly.
-
Who is your master?
I strongly recommend that you practice your forms in a lower speed for gaining internal strength.
For example 6 minutes would be a good time for Qixingquan.Good luck.
