Not only just because of the fitness center though, but because I've been researching that Eastern has a pretty good personal training programs and alot of health & fitness classes.
Well I'm going to Eastern because of the fitness center. I want to get a bachelor's in Exercise Science and possibly become either a Kinesiologist or an Athletic Trainer. So them improving the fitness center isn't a bad thing at all, new machines come out all the time and new treadmills etc. It's important to keep updated on most of this. Granted they should spent it on other things as well but they just updated their fitness center/gym so there really isn't anything you can do now.
Health and wellness is important, but I feel that the student's tuition money should be used to improve the student's curriculum instead of improving the fitness center or trying to come up with a way to make the college look more appealing to high school graduates. Universities are businesses but the business is education. The students who want to be successful, which I would hope would be the majority, don't choose a school based on the fitness facility. They want to increase their knowledge.
