This video is the instrument approach and landing at Oshkosh Airventure 2010 (Wittman Regional, Runway 27) made by John Wellington PIC with Rick Felty in right seat in a Trinidad TB 20. This was shot at about 1:30CDT on July 27, 2010. It begins when we are just east of Lake Winnebago, still communicating with Milwaukee Approach. As you can tell, we arrived as some mid-afternoon weather was coming into the area. In fact, prior to this sequence as we transitioned inland from the Lake Michigan coast, we were in a good amount of IMC off and on. So the conditions were at best quite hazy. For this reason, even though we could have canceled IFR and done the VFR arrival, we elected to use our slot arrival and remain IFR. You'll hear us transition to the OSH tower frequency where the energy and pace of activity picks up quite a bit. This part will be interesting to many because you get to hear the typical Oshkosh arrival audio chatter. Pay close attention as we near OSH when the tower tells us we are number two for landing and we begin looking for traffic ahead and to our right. We never do see the plane landing ahead of us, which becomes no factor but another low-wing passed above and behind us at just about the same time. Prior to editing this video, we had no clue that plane was even there! You'll also notice there was a strong cross-wind for this landing. With the heavy crosswind it took a substantial crab until over the threshold and then I kicked into a slip for a nice landing near the centerline. Welcome to Oshkosh!
Very Nice. I have yet to make it to Oshkosh and next year i'm definitely making time for it next year. Too bad I sold my plane.

@aviator06 You've got to get there. There are numerous web sites with ride sharing opportunities. Hope to see you next year.

It was a strong crosswind. About 15 knots at a 60 - 65 degree angle from the left. We were crabbed at about 15 - 20 degrees until over the threshold and then a left wing low slip to try and stay on the centerline. I ended up a little right of center on touchdown, but I was not unhappy with the landing.
