  • I'm Chinese, and my parents always wanted a girl. They said that I were born a boy then they would try for a second one...in America.

  • when they first introduced the policy, the rest of the world encouraged them. Let's not forget that. And people today are still talking about overpopulation, the need for population control... this is terrible.

  • Its so strange , in other countries girls are aborted , and in USA girls are prefered. And why always white parents trying adoption, are they more infertile than other races ?

  • @kazakhstanmkj I am a chinese adoptee. One of the first, actually. I will be 20 in 2 months, and in 1993 my mother was in the second group to go to china to adopt. You cannot truly understand the state of the chinese orphanages until you have seen one. I would rather be in America as an orphan than in China as one. At least here, a child will always have access to medical facilities and they will always be fed. Americans need to be educated about the conditions of chinese orphanages.

  • those people working in children adoption center, don't really care about the children but for money. they try hard to claw money from the adopters. legal human trading.

  • :( This kind of thing breaks my heart, As soon as i get my job and a house, Im so gonna adopt

  • Strange! Chinese are already invaded their neighbours and Australia, Canada, Africa. Looks like they have a new plan for complete take over. After all plastic toys and shit from China, now get a chinese baby! so just a few generation later , all planet looks like them. Shit!

  • Great story!

  • @eastahbunbun me too! :)

  • I am tired of Americans such as Lisa Ling constantly denouncing China this and China that. Like American policies are any better?

  • @ChinadollTwo Thank you for bringing that question up. TO be honest, actually many are kidnapped and sold to a 3rd party such as a adoption agency for money. This is not unusual. There is actually a social problem in CHINA, and many parents are seeking to find their own children. This whole National Geographic coverage is so sanitized on painting China law policies as horrible and Americans as this better people by taking adoptees in.
