Murph, have you seen the Firestorm FS22? It's essentially a Bersa Thunder .380 that is chambered in .22LR. They're not so easy to find now, but I think that's a neat .22. I may try to locate one some day.

india follows the metric system... here the .22 long rifle is just referred to as the 5.56 LR... but a majority do simply call it .22 bore...

and i have to agree with you on the 5.56x45mm NATO... it's capacity to do tissue damage is thrice that of the 7.62x39mm coz it wobbles in the body cavity upon entry whereas the 7.62 goes through you leaving a clean hole... i have no idea about the wounding capacity of the 7.62x51mm though...

@coolcatz6199 Please tell me you are kidding! I have an air pistol that will tear through any size shopping bag and still penetrate an object on the other side. A few 22LR rounds fired from my 15-22 will rip through a phone book!!

5.56 is a rifle round and is the standard round for NATO forces. It was originally made for the m16 rifle. A couple of rounds in the chest will not ruin anyones day, it will end it!! They will not have much of a chest left!

I just got this gun 3 hours ago it's very powerful I shot a very thick paper shopping bag and it went through the first side, and put a large dent in the 2nd side. 20 cap mag is very good for a pistol.

i shot this the other day at the range and they are very finiky about being clean our range doesnt clean theres very well so i had a jam every other mag i shot has a good kick for the ammo it uses but that makes it fun to use

I love my walther p22 and i do carry mine concealed. its been a great little pistol.
