  • This I believe was from the first Kraft Music Hall on NBC I think. I was at the filming of this show.

  • @chopard4545 This is from Grammy Awards. I don't think Kraft Music Hall was shot in color until 1968.

  • Nice video! But I would say this is from 1966 since they won the Record Of The Year award in early '66.

  • @Jazzbill1958 Yeah, you're right. I'll change it.

  • (taking a deep breath.......................), He was a good looking guy. Who wants to look up his nose while he's playing? Okay, I'm done ranting.

  • Really? Seriously? Someone posted that his posture is poor! He's made millions and millions and this is what you complain about? God knows how many guitarists don't play with their thumb properly behind the neck,or the fact that Dizzy played with his cheeks puffed out till his eyes looked like they were going to burst.or that King was terrible at chords and relied on single note playing. Why watch if all you want to do is inflate your own ego?

  • @chopard4545 wow. You were part of history. This is pop culture and you were there!

  • Obviously lip-synched to the studio version of the song, but still nice. And they were GREAT live, too!

  • @darzil007 You mean John Pisano? Who's "Joe Pizzano?" "A Taste Of Honey" was written by Bobby Scott and Ric Marlow.

  • TIJUANA BRASS, HERB ALPERT, AS GRANDES REUNIÕES DANÇANTES COM O BOLACHOES DE VINIL. TEMPO BOM VILA IAPI

  • @homeagent He was, I saw it in the bell.

  • @swampwiz his trumpet posture is quite poor? really? i mean, as long as he could play as beautifully as he did...what difference does it make how he is holding his trumpet?!? geesh... folks will complain about ANYTHING...

btw people, some of you must be YOUNG... songs were pretty much ALWAYS lip synched on tv "way back when"...it was done up until the "milli vanilli" scandal.

  • I think he was lip syncing,

  • I realize this is lip synching - or should I say, "embouchure synching" - but Alpert's trumpet posture is quite poor (i.e., the horn always pointing downwards.)
