The way he snaked around the Saunier-Duval rider is really skillful

I am currently readin Robbie's biography...........He puts this down as his greatest win...............with good reason too I reckon !
-
This has to be one of the greatest come-from-behind wins of any tour.
-
How good is Robbie!! Pure guts.

I crashed, I broke my wrist, I was behind the peloton. I think imma go win a stage of the Tour de France now. No biggie, guys.

@napomania Yeah, McEwan didn't have a leadout train which meant his run into the finish was more hectic and he had to take more risks, but Cav can hold his own if he is sprinting without teammates, it's just he is more beatable.
-
@mattfaulkner yes, but mc ewen had more fantasy and crazyness, and great control of his bike

I remember when I saw this live, it is by far the best sprint race I have ever seen, and just further proves on how McEwen is one of the best sprinters to ever live.

It's a shame that we can't see more of how he got through the field.....What average speed must he have done those last 20k - if you knew the distances, you could figure how much faster he was than the rest of the field! 10% faster? 20? It boggles the mind!
McEwen is simply the greatest sprinter. This win is testament to that. It looks like he was running on adrenalin that day seeing as his injuries sustained in the crash forced him to pull out. Nevertheless a great win.

About the best ever sprint I have seen.
Mcewen is in a different class.
Freire is about the closest to him of the current breed.
For once, it would be nice, to see the riders have no teammates in the last 5 kms. I think Petacchi would struggle to rack up a win.
