I have the MW2 Xbox 360 wich did cost like double the normal. If it get red ring i would do someting the same :). But i would throw it in the end from a fly.

Same thing happened to me, but i found out that if you mess around with the HDD or cables then it can RROD when you start it up but work fine after it.
