Always loved "The Fat Man" music in these games plus fireballing kobolds! Those were the days.

I think this was the first Gold Box game to include incidental music for major plot points, not just the intro music.

Got them all on the Gamefest collection CD for PC!

@imawsumz Back when it first came out it wasn't bad though. I remember playing this game for hours on end.

Anyone know where i can get the rule book pass words for the game?

I loved these old SSI games. Sadly "RPGs" these days are nothing more than FPSs with token stats thrown in (I'm looking at you Bethesda) or life-ruining MMOs.

can someone point out which of these dos dnd games have actual plots, usually when I play them, you just start in the middle of nowhere with no clue of what to do...

@caraelagarto If you are referring to the DnD gold box games, they all have plots. You just need to read the journal entries when prompted to.

I was really young when I played this...really don't remember it very well in terms of storyline...just loved the style of game it was.
Never played Dark Queen of the series, but the others were ace! Would love to get a hold of this for the PC.

@trixx111 There are a few PC versions available on Amazon & Ebay. Don't know if you still have a floppy disk drive though. If not then you can find the game available for download on some abandonware sites.

Is the video from the C64 or IBM (MS-DOS) version?
