Agreed. And he has in two separate occasions said that in somewhat subtle ways. My favourite is when he staged a reprise of the shouting while being interviewed on radio. It's here:

John sweeney never lost it,
he is a very good reporter, when sweeney appanrently loses it so people say - sweeney is only shouting like that because it is a military tactic for recruits who keep interupting and asking questions ect.
john sweeney is sane - he even says in between his shouting tactic do you understand in a nice and calm manner indicating a transformation in voice and tone only a sane person could put together. a insane person would resort to violence at the end.
