  • la ilaha ilallah! ameen! jazakallah! i5rab bait el yahood inshallah!

  • Amin ya Allah

  • wa'alayki salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, you're correct brother, i should have used the Ayatul Khursi ' neither slumber nor sleep takes over Him'. i'm certain the brother did not mean that Allah sleeps, i did not make my point clear-an error from my part,i meant to say that some people may concieve it to be an indication that Allah sleeps, waAllahu'alm.

  • salaam, i thought that too, however it says: Oh Allah do not LET sleep, ya'nee mayb he missed out summin like 'let us' sleep or 'let the kuffar' sleep. Allahu a'lam in anycase, maybe a better proof would be the initial parts of ayatul kursee, la ta'khuzuhu, wa la nawm, what do you think?

  • ALLAH AKBAR

    AMEEN

  • Abu Musa r.a,reported:

Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was standing among us and he told us five things. He said: Verily the Exalted and Mighty Allah does not sleep, and it does not befit Him to sleep. He lowers the Scale and lifts it. The deeds in the night are taken up to Him before the deeds of the day, and the deeds of the day before the deeds of the night. His veil is the light. In the Hadith narrated by Abu Bakr (instead of the word "light") it is fire. (1st half of hadith)

  • If he withdraws it (the veil), the splendor of His countenance would consume His creation so far as His sight reaches.

Hadith number in Sahih Muslim [Arabic only]: 263

Akhi you should be careful when you say 'Oh Allah don't sleep..'
