Interesting place to train,and more intersting as to why they need training of that sort. This exercise will run from June 21-28 in St. Louis. Presence of tanks will be most noticeable in the area of the sixth district.

St Louis City residents have been warned to not be alarmed at the sight of U.S. Army tanks rolling down residential neighborhoods after sightings of the vehicles provoked fears of martial law.

The exercise is part of a U.S. Army program run by military police from Fort Meade, Maryland focused around training MPs from St. Louis how to drive heavily armored tanks "on highways and on city streets."

Sightings of the tanks prompted hundreds of residents to flood news channel KSDK's Facebook page, with some expressing fears that martial law had arrived with others promising to "stop and salute" the tanks as they rolled by.

Reporting that he was told by the Army not to disclose the location of where the exercise was operating out of for "security reasons," KSDK reporter Casey Nolan downplayed the exercise as "not such a big deal."

lol Military need training to. damn I'm an mp and even before I joined I would hope the MP's were trained to drive on civilian streets I can see it now man! USA's under attack! will the army save them!?!?! no the idiots of USA were to damn scared of them to let them train on the streets of america worried about Martial law or some bulls*** that now they don't know how to operate the vehicles to save them! man America you anti army people are stupid as sh**

Thank you for the support. lol normally I'm a lot nicer I just think its all foolish. People talk about what they don't know about. If only they knew the other half of the story they wouldn't dare say anything. Woulds a cruel place and we die protecting everything and everyone we love including all of you. It sucks when people trash us for standing up for the very people putting us down. Yet we still do it cause we love america and everything and everyone in it.

With all due respect, and appreciation for what you do as a service member, I think you are sadly misguided. Your patriotism is admirable. However, those in high command have less honorable intentions. Consequently our military is being misused. Brave lives and valuable resources are being squandered.

I recommend you do some independent research. No one is putting you or your fellow service members down. Rather, they are disagreeing with the agenda and motives which drive your deployments and sacrifice. While you may personalize what people say, if you step back and look at things from a different perspective you will realize on a much larger level this has nothing to do with you on an individual level.

Be advised that the very people you defend (i.e. "the idiots of the USA") can respect your service and sacrifice while disagreeing with the agenda of those in command and sitting in the White House. If you truly think the American people are "idiots", you may want to reconsider your commitment to military service.

I respect your professional manner, though i really do got to disagree. those vehciles could easily been going from base to base it happens if the military don't sue the roads what do you expect for them to use? Also we still do need training within civilian borders. As you saw no matrial law happened jsut military training so there is no lie or issue with what the military was doing here.
