I would suggest a lot more research before you start to build an AK

Well, I live in a free state so I am just not aware of your laws.. lets assume YES.. since the receiver is the gun

What state do you live in that requires long gun registration?

so that flat piece of metal,if it had a number stamped on it,and I went into a bank and pointed it at the teller...............
that would be armed robbery?

@EverythingisFire my wasr has good sights and no wobbly mag

How do you btw heat treat them, is it just by warming them red hot on a flame and then rapidly cooling em by immersing them in oil? I think I've once tried it in school, not sure anymore though what I made.. but anyway it felt simple at least! Using water instead of oil might kinda destroy the steel tho :P

Thanx for this review Brother!

stamped metal is easy to work with

can you suggest a good website that ic an get a good receiver for a fixed stock please
Good vid! Hmm...I think I may just build my own AK instead of order & pray with a WASR. Although Henderson Defense has "certified" ones where they make sure there's no B.S. canting in the sights or bad magazine lock up.

@EverythingisFire
Most peoples first AK build would not be as good as the worst WASR

@GunWebsites
=] Now you have a ton of videos...A TON! Do you have any that actually show you putting one together from scratch? If not, you should definitely do it! To me, it seems a little harder than an AR build. I've only started looking into building an hour ago haha but bending a flat receiver, welding things etc. is stuff I wouldn't be able to do.

@EverythingisFire
I have put together many dozens of AKs ...
that is why I discourage people from thinking it's a weekend project in the garage

@GunWebsites Building an AK-47 or 74 is a weekend project if you have the proper tools, I've never spent more than 2 days building an AK. The longest was 3 days because I had to drill and form the under-folder holes on the back of one of my receivers because I had bought a Nodac Spud 100% receiver without the holes pre-drilled drilled (so that i could save some money), and making sure everything was drilled right and aligned took a good third day

@lovesoliviaforever
yea? I've seen them put together in as little as 6 hours 12 at a time.. but we are not talking about pros, or even experienced home builders.. people without tools have a lot of stuff to buy and things to learn
